Competition 2023: Light - Open Call for Open Gallery in Halifax
Brief description about the artwork
1. The Orange Clouds This Photograph was taken on holiday in the Maldives, walking along the beach and watching the sunset, I took the opportunity of taking a picture of this powerful scenery. I waited for the right moment, just before the sun was setting.
2. The Dancing Lights of Reflection: This Photograph was taken in Gloucester. By wandering around town and seeing all these lovely lights across the river, I took the opportunity to take a picture. It wasn't my intention about the outcome of the picture but I'm pleased. It gives the photograph something, what draws you to it to make you happy at that moment.

Competition 2023: VISUAL ART OPEN
Brief description about the artwork including thought and technical processes.
1. This Photograph was taken while on holiday in Alaska. I joined a Glacier hike with a friend at the Matanuska Glacier, walking around the area I took the opportunity of taking a picture of this powerful scenery.
I thought it would make a great photograph with the lake and the reflection in the water of the Glacier. The photo represents a perfect harmony between the calmness of the water and the powerfulness of the Glacier. I set my Digital Camera to F11 and M5 with a length of 17 and a Dramatic Tone Filter.
2. This Photograph was taken on holiday in Alaska while walking around the downtown area of Anchorage. I was fascinated by seeing this modern piece of architecture surrounded by normal houses and industrial buildings.
The combination of the concrete structure and different palettes like plaster, colored metal, and natural timber makes the building an interesting piece of art to look at.
I set my Digital Camera to F1.8 and M5 with a length of 3.99 an Exposure time of 1/2,740 and a Dramatic Tone Filter.
